Orderpicker English

You’ll be working in a modern warehouse in Utrecht. It’s all about teamwork and keeping track of things. The atmosphere is informal and colleagues help one another. You start the day together and know exactly what’s going on. You’ll work to clear instructions and set routes. This way, you’ll do your job well and with joy.

As an order picker, you ensure that orders are complete and neatly prepared. Without you, the warehouse would grind to a halt and customers wouldn’t receive their products on time. You pick orders using a voice-picking system. You arrange everything neatly on roll containers. You then prepare the order for transport. Every order contains some very heavy items, so it’s important that you’re physically capable of lifting 25 kg bags. 

You’ll work from Monday to Friday on fixed shifts, using modern equipment. There are opportunities to progress and learn new tasks. The day starts at 08.15 with a team meeting. Work begins at 08.30 and you’ll finish around 17.00. Unless any late orders have come in, in which case it may run a little over time. There’s a ‘we start together, we finish together’ mentality. So everyone helps out so that everyone can get home on time.
