We are looking for a software engineer for a company in Eindhoven.
As a Software Engineer you develop new software features and solutions for our fiber connectivity product portfolio. The position offers a wide range of possibilities to work with everything from low-level Linux drivers to high-level applications. You develop for various protocols and HW interfaces, often in complex network scenarios in combination with customer specific requirements, where you actively collect requirements from different stakeholders. The team is responsible for all SW development for existing and new CPEs for End Users like Residential Gateways and In-Home Repeater and Extender products. This means development of network functionality, remote Management (TR-069), VoIP application (SIP) and WebUI/Cloud. The development is mainly done in C/C++ and Python in a Linux environment (OpenWRT) and some parts are created with Java. Products and development are realized on an agile project basis.
To be successful in this role you should have a minimum experience of 3 years programming in C/C++ and Python in a Linux environment (OpenWRT) and feel home in an agile project. As we use Linux, experience with this operating system is a mandatory requirement. Working experience with router sw development, network operators in the telecommunication field, SIP, network protocols, TR-069, WebUI /Cloud usability, various access technologies like Fibre, Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n/ac and USB is a plus. Experience with “devops” and creating awareness to cultivate the combination with Quality Assurance and ACS-side CPE management is also a plus.
