At Royal FloraHolland, you can start your day early and be done before the afternoon, while working in a unique environment surrounded by flowers and plants. As a logistics employee, you play an important role in making sure everything runs smoothly in the world’s largest flower auction.

Your workday starts early at 06:00 AM. After clocking in, you begin with a daily briefing together with your team. During this moment, the team leader discusses the key points of the day, such as important updates, improvements in the process, and safety measures you need to keep in mind while working. After the briefing, you check the system to see your tasks, including how many trolleys you will need to move.

Next, you put on your headset and get on your electric cart. Through the headset, you receive clear instructions about where to go and which trolley to pick up. By following the numbers in the hall, you navigate through the warehouse and collect the correct trolleys. You then transport the trolleys, filled with flowers and plants, to their designated locations in the hall.

The end time of your shift is determined on the same day and usually falls between 10:00 AM and 14:00 PM, depending on how busy it is. This means your workday can vary: sometimes you finish earlier, and other days you may work a bit longer. This flexibility makes the job ideal to combine with your studies or personal schedule.

As a logistics employee, you are responsible for keeping the process running smoothly and efficiently. Your tasks include transporting trolleys to the correct locations, scanning the barcodes on the floor to ensure accurate registration, and carefully checking whether the number of flowerpots or plant pots matches the order. Accuracy and attention to detail are important, as your work directly impacts the flow of the auction process.

Before you start independently, you will follow two training days in which you learn everything about the process, the safety rules, and how to work with the systems and your electric cart. This ensures that you can start your job confidently and safely.

Once you have completed your tasks and delivered the trolleys to their final destination, you can take a short break and catch up with your colleagues. After finishing all your responsibilities for the day, your shift ends and you are free to enjoy the rest of your day. Thanks to the early working hours, you will have plenty of time left for other activities.

This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, motivated, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You like to stay active, work independently, and don’t mind starting early in the morning.


Wat wij jou bieden

Starting salary between € 16,60 and  € 17,73 per hour

• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer

• Full reimbursement of your public transport subscription if you work more than 4 days a week.

• Weekly payment.
