Orderpicker in Aalsmeer
Omschrijving
Every morning, your day starts at 6:00 AM. You clock in and attend the daily briefing, where your team leader discusses safety updates and areas for improvement. After that, you check the system for your tasks. You will hear what time your shift ends on the day itself, depending on how busy it is. Your workday usually finishes at the end of the morning or the beginning of the afternoon.
You will also see how many carts need to be processed. Then you put on your headphones and get on your electric cart. Through your headset, you will receive instructions on where to go. You follow the numbers in the hall and pick up your cart.
Your job is to move the flowers and plants on the cart to the correct locations. Once finished, you bring the cart to its final destination and place it there. Before leaving, you scan the barcode on the floor and check if the number of flower or plant pots matches the order.
After that, it’s time for your first break, where you can talk with your colleagues. Before you know it, your workday is already finished and you clock out using your badge.
In this role, you ensure that flowers and plants are in the correct locations. Without this role, the process would come to a standstill, carts would not be moved on time, and the workflow would become chaotic. You help keep everything running smoothly by moving carts to the right places, scanning barcodes correctly, and checking quantities.
Before you start, you will receive two training days where the logistics process is explained. You work on weekdays and have weekends off. You can choose to work either 3 or 5 days per week, depending on what suits you best. The minimum availability is 3 days per week. If you work 5 days, you will work approximately 20–25 hours per week.
You will be paid weekly on Tuesday. A VOG (Certificate of Conduct) may be required as part of the selection process. There are three departments within the flower auction, and you will be assigned to one of them.
