Our client is a global leader in providing turnkey food freezing and cooling solutions, serving clients across five continents. Due to our rapid expansion, we currently have an opening for an experienced Equipment Design Engineer. Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Design: Lead the design of food processing equipment.
CAD Software: Utilize SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Inventor for detailed design and modeling of stainless-steel projects.
Electro-Mechanical Systems: Design components such as motors, gearboxes, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and sensors.
Sanitary Design: Apply sanitary design principles and integrate clean-in-place (CIP) systems.
Compliance: Ensure designs meet food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA, USDA, EHEDG).
Collaboration: Work with food technologists, production teams, and suppliers to refine equipment performance.
Technical Documentation: Create manuals, parts lists, maintenance instructions, and detailed technical drawings.
BOM Management: Develop and input Bills of Materials (BOMs) into the ERP system.
Design Evaluation: Verify that designs meet the original requirements through analysis, inspection, and testing.
Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, shop managers, and fabricators to address fabrication and installation issues.
Team Leadership: Oversee junior designers and review their part drawings.
Travel: Occasional travel to project sites as required.
