As a Factory Design Engineer, you are responsible for designing complete food processing plants. You translate customer requirements into smart, efficient, and hygienic factory layouts and collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients around the world.As a Project Manager, you will:<ul><li>Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.</li><li>Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed successfully.</li><li>Build and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring satisfaction, managing expectations, and addressing issues promptly.</li><li>Continually assess and document project risks and issues, implementing appropriate action or mitigation plans.</li><li>Identify and document opportunities for continuous improvement and lessons learned for future projects.</li></ul>

Our client is a global leader in providing turnkey food freezing and cooling solutions, serving clients across five continents. Due to our rapid expansion, we currently have an opening for an experienced Equipment Design Engineer. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Mechanical Design: Lead the design of food processing equipment.</li><li>CAD Software: Utilize SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Inventor for detailed design and modeling of stainless-steel projects.</li><li>Electro-Mechanical Systems: Design components such as motors, gearboxes, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and sensors.</li><li>Sanitary Design: Apply sanitary design principles and integrate clean-in-place (CIP) systems.</li><li>Compliance: Ensure designs meet food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA, USDA, EHEDG).</li><li>Collaboration: Work with food technologists, production teams, and suppliers to refine equipment performance.</li><li>Technical Documentation: Create manuals, parts lists, maintenance instructions, and detailed technical drawings.</li><li>BOM Management: Develop and input Bills of Materials (BOMs) into the ERP system.</li><li>Design Evaluation: Verify that designs meet the original requirements through analysis, inspection, and testing.</li><li>Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, shop managers, and fabricators to address fabrication and installation issues.</li><li>Team Leadership: Oversee junior designers and review their part drawings.</li><li>Travel: Occasional travel to project sites as required.</li></ul>

Als Equipment Design Manager ben je verantwoordelijk voor:<ul><li>Het mechanisch ontwerpen van voedselverwerkingsapparatuur voor vries- en koelinstallaties.</li><li>Het gebruik van CAD-software zoals SolidWorks, AutoCAD of Inventor voor ontwerp en modellering.</li><li>Het ontwerpen en optimaliseren van electro-mechanische systemen, zoals motoren, versnellingsbakken, pneumatische/hydraulische systemen en sensoren.</li><li>Het toepassen van sanitaire ontwerprichtlijnen en zorgen voor systemen die geschikt zijn voor clean-in-place (CIP)-systemen.</li><li>Het ontwerpen met voedselveilige materialen en corrosiebestendige componenten om aan de industrienormen te voldoen.</li><li>Het ontwikkelen van maatwerk voedselverwerkingsapparatuur die specifiek is afgestemd op producten of productieprocessen.</li><li>Het waarborgen van de naleving van voedselveiligheidsnormen (bijv. HACCP, FDA, USDA, EHEDG).</li><li>Het samenwerken met voedseltechnologen, productieteams en externe leveranciers om de prestaties van de apparatuur te verfijnen.</li><li>Het creëren van gedetailleerde technische documentatie, inclusief handleidingen, onderdelenlijsten en onderhoudsprocedures.</li><li>Het ontwerpen van lay-outs voor grote componenten voor verschillende vriesmodellen op basis van de instructies van de Project Engineer.</li><li>Het gebruiken van AutoCAD en Inventor voor gedetailleerd ontwerp en modellering van roestvrijstalen apparatuur.</li><li>Het produceren van tekenpakketten en werkplaats tekeningen (inclusief platte patroonontwerpen).</li><li>Het controleren van de gedetailleerde onderdelen tekeningen van ontwerpers op nauwkeurigheid en naleving van de eisen.</li><li>Het verifiëren van de ontwerpen om te garanderen dat ze voldoen aan de oorspronkelijke ontwerpeisen door middel van analyse, inspectie en testen.</li><li>Het creëren van Bill of Materials (BOM's) en deze invoeren in het ERP-systeem; het documenteren van ontwerpen in Vault en het beheren van de tekeningen voor indiening.</li><li>Het samenwerken met engineers, werkplaatsmanagers en andere interne teams voor projectcoördinatie.</li><li>Het nauw samenwerken met de Shop Head en fabricage-experts om het ontwerp te optimaliseren voor gemakkelijke fabricage en het onderzoeken van eventuele mechanische storingen om fabricage- en installatieproblemen op te lossen.</li><li>Het begeleiden en controleren van het ontwerpwerk van junior ontwerpers en het controleren van hun gedetailleerde onderdelen tekeningen.</li><li>Het werken volgens alle FPS administratieve en gezondheids- en veiligheidsrichtlijnen.</li><li>Andere taken zoals toegewezen.</li></ul>
