As a part-time warehouse employee at Royal FloraHolland, you’ll work as an order picker. Your day begins at 5:45 a.m., allowing you time to prepare your equipment and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. At 6:00 a.m., the team holds a briefing to share important information. Then, you’ll start working alongside your colleagues.
What does being an order picker at Royal FloraHolland entail? You’ll operate an electric cart to collect flower trolleys from the warehouse. Next, you connect the trolley to your headset. This headset provides instructions on where to deliver the flowers, guiding you from one location to the next and telling you how many buckets to place at each stop. When your trolley is empty, you pick up another one. Together with your team, you repeat this process until all trolleys have been sorted.
Your finishing time varies depending on the day, as each day is different. Typically, you’ll be done between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., though sometimes it may be slightly earlier or later.
